Research shows a strong connection between oral health and overall healthiness, so we provide dentistry that considers and improves your total well-being. Since teeth do so much work for us, they need regular care and maintenance. Routine dental checkups are vital to maintaining good oral hygiene, and allow early detection of decay, gum disease, and other dental problems. Early diagnosis and treatment ultimately saves unnecessary discomfort, time, and money.

What to expect at your dental checkup

A visual exam of your mouth, face, jaw, and neck.

Digital radiographs (x-rays): to reveal dental problems that cannot be found during a visual exam. These provide instant results and emit 90 percent less radiation than previously used film x-rays. Your dentist will determine how often you need to have digital x-rays taken.

Periodontal pocket exam: healthy teeth require healthy gums, and this exam determines the presence or risk of gum disease.
